Here is mentioned 5-day procedure for the SSB interview. Requirements may differ to the type of exams you are appearing for:
Aspirants get received by an officer at the station, then the Aspirants will be taken to the selection centre.
The officer will inform the Aspirants of the “Opening Address” where an officer will brief them about their stay for the next 5 days.

On some boards, the reporting day is regarded as the first day, and test starts on the same day.
The first day has 3 tests:
Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR Test – Paper 1 & Paper 2)
Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP & DT)
Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR Test): The first day includes Officer Intelligence Rating Test (OIR), which includes both verbal and non-verbal tests. Aspirants will get two question papers, each paper consisting of 40 questions. The time allotted for each booklet is 15-17 minutes.
Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP & DT): This Test is Categorized into Two Parts:
Picture Perception: An image is displayed to the aspirants for 30 seconds. Aspirants have to write down their details such as age, sex, the mood of the character, and what are they doing. Then, aspirants have to create a story based on the image in 4 minutes.
Group Discussion: In a Group discussion, a group of 10-15 aspirants is formed from the batch and each aspirant has to narrate their story to reach an agreement.
On the Second Day, The Following Psychological Test is Conducted:
Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): In the TAT test, aspirants are shown 12 images (1 blank), and they must write a story for 4 minutes. The time limit is imposed to check the natural response of each aspirant.
Word Association Test (WAT): In the WAT test, aspirants have to write a sentence from the 60 words displayed in front of them for 15 seconds each.
Situation Reaction Test (SRT): Aspirants are given 60 real-life situations, and they have to write their reactions to them. Duration is 30 minutes.
Self-Description Test (SDT): This is a 15-minute test where aspirants have to write a few paragraphs about describing themselves.
This Day Involves the Following Test:
Group Discussion: Group discussion is conducted on 2 topics, it is a 15-minute debate conducted back to back.
Group Planning Exercise (GPE): In this test, aspirants are clubbed into 10-15 people and are given a story with certain issues, aspirants need to identify and correct these issues.
Progressive Group Task (PGT): In PGT, you are required to cross some obstacles with some materials provided to you and with some rules to be followed during the task.
Group Obstacle Race (GOP): It is a group race where each group competes against other groups with 6 obstacles.
Half Group Task (HGT): This task is the same as PGT but is conducted with smaller groups.
The Following Test is Conducted on This Day:
Lecturette: Four topics are given to each aspirant, from which he needs to choose one and speak on it for 3 minutes.
Individual Obstacles (IO): Each and every aspirant needs to clear 10 obstacles in 3 minutes.
Command Task (CT): Every aspirant is made a commander to overcome each obstacle similar to HGT.
Final Group Task (FGT): Every group is reassembled to complete the assigned task similar to PGT.
Personal Interview: Personal interviews are conducted on days 2,3 and 4 after daily tasks have been completed.
It is the last day of the interview and ends with a conference.
A board conference is conducted, where all the officers who were assessed in the previous days are present.
This conference will decide whether you are selected or not as an officer in Indian Defense Forces.
Borderline aspirants are tested with a certain situation, and then a collective decision is taken.
